[Blacksmith Guide for Dummies]
This is a useful guide detailing
the process of Ore Refining and
Weapon Crafting for Blacksmith job
class characters.
[Ore Refining for Dummies]
Rough ores, like Iron Ore, and
rough enchanted stones can be
refined to create a higher quality
metal or stone. Refining rough
materials requires a Mini Furnace.
Several rough ores are also needed
to create just one of a higher
quality. When you think you have
enough rough ores or stones of the
same kind, double-click the Mini
Furnace item in the Inventory
window.
If you have the available materials
and creation skills, a list of
enchanted stones or metals that you
can create will appear in a new
window labeled Item List you can
craft.
However, if you don't have the
necessary skills or materials, you
will receive a message stating 'You
can't Create Items yet'.
Remember that there is a
possibility that the refining
process may fail. Also, be aware
that a Mini Furnace will be used
each time you double-click it,
regardless of the end result.
[Weapon Craft for Dummies]
To create weapons, you must first
learn the appropriate smithing
skills, depending on the weapon you
wish to create. The following is a
list of Blacksmith weapon creation
skills.
Smith Dagger
Smith Sword
Smith Two-handed Sword
Smith Axe
Smith Mace
Smith Spear
Smith Knucklebrace
Every Weapon requires Steel and the
consumption of one Hammer.
When you double-click on a Hammer
item in the Inventory Window, a new
craft will appear.
A list of weapons that you are
currently able to craft will
appear. Clicking a Weapon in that
list will show the items required
for creation.
In that list window, there are 3
sockets into which you can insert
additional items, such as Enchanted
Stones or Star Crumbs, which enable
you to enhance the smithed weapon.
Afterwards, cick the 'OK' button
to confirm that you want to create
the selected item. The materials
required to create the weapon will
be automatically consumed from your
inventory.
The chance of smithing success will
depend on your character stats and
skills, and other factors. If the
smithing fails, any items used to
create the new weapon will still be
consumed. Good luck!
