Learned skills

Set each skill to its learned level. Level 0 turns it off. Set HP thresholds in Support; a recast interval of 0 uses the skill's database timing. Higher priority skills are tried first.

Install your AI

Back up your existing AI.lua or AI_M.lua in the game's AI/USER_AI folder.
Save the downloaded file there: AI.lua for Homunculus, AI_M.lua for Mercenary.
Use /hoai for Homunculus or /merai for Mercenary to enable custom AI.
Vaporize and call your Homunculus again, or summon your Mercenary.

Each file runs independently and includes everything needed for its companion. Your companion uses the skill levels selected above; skill items, evolution and combo requirements still apply.

Create and install your companion AI

Select the companion and its learned skills

Choose Homunculus or Mercenary, then select the specific companion. For Homunculus S, also select its original family to include inherited skills. Set each active skill to the level your companion has learned; level zero disables automatic use. The mercenary shortcut fills the skill levels for the selected contract. Changing the database switches to a separately saved profile, keeping Renewal skill information apart from Pre-Renewal.

Set behavior for your hunting area

Use a preset as a starting point, then set the HP threshold for entering combat, the retreat threshold and the amount of SP to keep in reserve. Movement settings control following, searching and chasing near the owner. Monster tactics can override the default behavior for particular appearances. For support skills, choose the target and the HP condition that should trigger the cast. Higher priority skills are checked first, and recast intervals work alongside the skill’s database cooldown.

Download one file and edit it again

Download AI.lua for a Homunculus or AI_M.lua for a Mercenary. Each file includes the complete RagnarokSearch engine and the selected profile. Back up the matching file in your game’s AI/USER_AI directory, then save the download there. Enable custom AI with /hoai or /merai and recall or summon the companion. Keep the downloaded file if you want to change the setup later: importing it restores the builder settings. Skill items, learned levels and other in-game requirements still need to be satisfied.
