Mercenary database

Use a mercenary scroll to start its contract. You can have one mercenary at a time. The hired grade and level stay fixed. Skills and kill bonuses can temporarily change combat stats. Heal them with Mercenary Red Potions and restore SP with Mercenary Blue Potions.

Archer, Lancer and Swordsman guilds track loyalty separately. Finishing a contract grants 1 loyalty; a mercenary death removes 1. Every 50 eligible kills by you or your mercenary adds 1 loyalty and gives a five-minute combat bonus. The target must be at least half your Base level, rounded down.

Grades 7–9 require 50, 100 and 300 loyalty respectively. Grade 10 requires 500 loyalty and spends 400 when hired. Its contract has no Zeny fee.
