Build an outfit before choosing your equipment
Choose the character first
Pick a class and gender before selecting your outfit. These choices determine the character body used in the preview and which equipped sprites can be displayed. The wardrobe is shared across Renewal and Pre-Renewal, so you can explore a look in one place. Use the character direction controls to inspect the outfit from different angles, particularly when a hat, wing or weapon extends beyond the front of the sprite.
Combine equipment and costumes
Search the position you want to change, choose an item, and compare it with the rest of the outfit. Equipment and costumes are shown together because a costume can cover the equipped item in the same visual position. Change one piece at a time to see which layer affects the result. An item can have an inventory icon without a corresponding equipped sprite; the wardrobe focuses on items with a usable appearance. Preview compatibility belongs to the selected character, so changing class or gender can change the result.
Check the item before using the look
The outfit preview shows appearance rather than a character damage calculation. Open the item database for requirements, slots, bonuses and acquisition sources in your server’s ruleset. Two items with similar artwork can have different gameplay properties. If you want to compare those properties as part of a build, move to the character calculator. Keeping the visual choices and the gameplay checks in the same workflow helps you choose an outfit that also fits the character you intend to play.
