This temple behind me is called Borobudur.

Borobudur temple was built in the 9th century

to venerate the Great Buddha, an ancient religious figure.

This temple is made with 6 square platforms and 3 round platforms, and 2672 hand carved relief panels as well as 504 statue of various Buddhas.

The central stupa, or shrine is located at the center of high platform, which is surrounded by 72 more statues.

Even in modern times Borobudur temple is a pilgrimage site for many monks worshiping the Buddha. It's also a major tourist attraction, as you can imagine.
