Amatsu Dungeon Entrance
Help the lord’s mother, obtain your own permit and open the castle route to the Tatami Maze and deeper floors.
Pack for the whole quest
- No minimum Base or Job Level.
- Your character must complete the exorcism; borrowing someone else’s permit does not bypass the quest.
Carrying Holy Water, Bear’s Footskin or Raccoon Leaf improves the exorcism chance for most classes. The exorcism can still fail; simply return and try again.

Ask the guards about the closed house
Speak to the Gate Soldier outside the house and learn about the lord’s sick mother. Then visit the Lord of Palace on the castle’s fourth floor.

Travel north into the field and enter the shrine. Speak to Kitsune Mask and finish the instructions for expelling the spirit.

Enter the guarded house and speak to Grandma. Repeat the exorcism until it succeeds; failed attempts eject you from the house. On success, the fox disappears and you receive Nine Tails. Keep it for the lord.

Return with the Nine Tails and finish the lord’s conversation. He takes the proof and gives you Feudal Lord Permit. This is the final quest turn-in.

Access becomes available when the lord gives you your permit after the exorcism. Carry the permit to the fifth-floor soldier; the deeper dungeon floors use normal connecting portals.
Use the castle’s fifth-floor entrance
Climb to the fifth-floor soldier and ask to enter while carrying your permit. He sends you into the Tatami Maze. You can begin exploring immediately; there is no further entrance-quest objective.
